Our team

Léa completed a degree in Law at the Université de Montréal in 2016. After becoming a member of the Barreau du Québec, she had a successful career as a lawyer specializing in immigration and citizenship law. Her journey has also been enriched by her work as a legal editor and her involvement with various community organizations.

Her interest in legal outreach, the fight against inequalities, and the protection of vulnerable communities led Léa to join The Legal Collective team in September 2023, initially as assistant Director. She has been in her role as  General Director of the organization since October 2024.

Emile completed his Bachelor of Law at l’Université du Québec à Montréal. He joined the Legal collective team as a coordinating lawyer in April 2023.

Having completed his internship at the Longueuil legal aid, Emile was brought to officiate in multiple legal domains. He principally worked in family law, civil law, health law, housing law and administrative law. He has been a member of the Bar since February 2023.

He always had an interest to practice in the law field to help protect the people with fewer resources and to make the justice system more accessible to everybody.

Raphaelle holds a bachelor’s degree in law and a certificate in feminist studies from the Université du Québec à Montréal. She completed her internship at the Commission des normes, de l’équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CNESST), before starting work in private practice as a housing lawyer. She joined the Legal collective team as a coordinating lawyer in January 2024.

Raphaelle is guided by a desire to make the law a tool for social transformation and to work for the benefit of the most vulnerable individuals and groups. These concerns have followed her throughout her career, and her community involvement bears witness to her desire to make access to justice an issue at the heart of her practice.

Marie completed her university studies in France, as well as an LL.M. in Children’s Rights Law at Leiden University in the Netherlands. After being admitted to the Paris Bar, she practiced in private law firms specializing in immigration law, particularly in refugee law. She recently joined the Quebec Bar as a temporary practicing lawyer. Her career has been enriched by research on the rights of migrant children, teaching experience, and various engagements with organizations working to ensure access to justice.

It is her interest in legal education, the importance of access to law for all, and student involvement that led Marie to join the team at the Legal Collective in January 2025.

Camille holds a bachelor’s degree in social work, a certificate in psychology, and a certificate in addiction studies. She is currently pursuing graduate studies in social work, where she is focusing on the territoriality of social issues. She is also completing a certificate in Indigenous studies.

Her experience in community, school, and institutional settings has provided her with a range of knowledge and tools for addressing issues related to mental health, homelessness, housing, and youth. The promotion of social justice and respect for the dignity and value of all people are the foundations on which she bases her work with the users of the Legal Collective.

Anik has been working at the Mile End Legal Clinic as the administrative coordinator for over 10 years. She provides the necessary support to management in various areas of the organization’s activities, including accounting and human resources.
